On November 29, 2002, on the first anniversary of George Harrison's death, many of his old friends gathered for a tribute concert to him.

The concert opens with a dedication by Ravi Shankar, and the first 42:30 of the concert is Indian music, written by George Harrison's close friend Ravi Shankar and conducted by Ravi Shankar's daughter, Anoushka Shankar. After the Indian portion, there is a brief intermission, which is followed by a Monty Python comedy sketch, At about 49:00 the concert of George Harrison's own songs begins, with Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynn,  Tom Petty, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Billy Preston, and many more artists taking part.

It is a joyous celebration of George Harrison's life and music by his friends, for his friends.
